The standard AS/NZS 5601.1:2013
4.4 prohibited types of joints and fittings (f) capillary joint containing soft solder.
So no you cant use this type of jointing.

I agree with Enn 100% - why would you want to buy a product, no matter how cheap it is - unless you have 100% guarantee that it will be backed up by the supplier. Cheap is cheap for a reason? No merchant - then how big is the supplier - and if it all...

I think if you were quoted a Rheem mains pressure hot water cylinder on your quote then thats what you probably should have got.
You dont quote a new system and make changes i have found as it can, and in this case has led to problems.
